Hi, I’m Steve McCarthy. Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting.
I am a landscape, sports & events photographer, author and podcaster based in Wiltshire (often found chasing light along Cornwall’s north coast). My work is about stories: the way a late-evening glow turns a coastline into a memory, and the way a split-second tackle or a podium smile can tell you everything about a team.

On the sports and events side, I shoot with energy and empathy—clean, accurate, and fast. Clubs and organisers come to me for images that feel alive and arrive on time: coverage that works for match reports, social feeds, sponsors and season campaigns.

My landscape photography is slower and more reflective. I’m drawn to places where weather, tide and terrain collide, and I pair each image with a sense of why it matters—prints that bring that feeling of being there back home.
